Emily Irene Smith, 77, Pottstown Emily Irene Smith, 77, wife of Roy Smith of Pottstown died Tuesday in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Bridgeport to the late Mr. Joseph and the late Mrs. Carrie (Frank) Larkin. Emily was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, and worked for The Spring City Knitting Company as a machine operator. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, crocheting, and needle point. In addition to her husband, Roy of 60 years, she leaves behind a daughter, Irene, the wife of the late James Keeley of Parkerford, and a son Roy Smith, Jr. of Royersford; three sisters, Harriet Wean of Florida, Caroline Alterie of California, and Betty Collines of Litiz, PA; three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
