June M. Ellington, 92, widow of the late Richard Ellington, died Saturday, October 3, 2015 in Paoli Hospital. Formally of the Cleveland and Pittsburgh area, June was a resident of the Shannondell Residential Community, Audubon, Pa. She was born June 3, 1923 in Cleveland to the late Thomas and the late Ethel (Kirkpatrick) Martinet. She attended thirteen schools in her twelve years of education. In her leisure, June enjoyed painting, playing card games like Bridge and Canasta. She loved music and her musical talents included playing the banjo, E flat Sax and Clarinet. Family was important to her and she worked on her ancestry. June remained active, traveled and enjoyed camping. She even participated in the Senior Olympics She worked as a stay at home mom, she raised, four children, one of which preceded her in death: Robert L. Ellington, (Susan) of Mesa, AZ, the late Linda Dorsey, (Bill) of Virginia Beach, VA; Dona J. Kern, (Erick) of Spring City, PA; and Susan K. Rogers (Craig), of Bailey, Colorado. June had two siblings: Richard Lee Martinet of Cleveland Ohio and the late Thomas C. Martinet. Seven grand children: Nathan Ellington, Melanie Cox, Ryan A. Kern, Jonathan T. Kern, John Evilsizer, Adam Rogers, and Kristin McLain. Eleven great grandchildren: Lance, Jackson, Katelyn, Ryan, Brandon, Trenton, Erik, Jeremiah, Inara, Brodrick, Landon and one great- great granddaughter: Autumn. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in First United Church of Christ, 145 Chestnut Street, Spring City with the Rev. Doug Hanson officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00pm Wednesday First United Church of Christ, 145 Chestnut Street, Spring City, Pa. Burial will be private.
