Joan Coursey, 78, Royersford Joan (McNasby) Coursey, age 78, wife of the late David L. Coursey, Sr., died on Monday in the Gluco Lodge Assisted Living, Stroudsburg, PA. Born in Phoenixville PA Joan was the daughter of the late William McNasby and Mary (Quay) Hopple. Joan resided most of her life in Royersford. Joan attended the former Royersford High School, she was employed for several years as a nurse's aide by the former Pennhurst State School and Hospital in Spring City, and as an artisan for Byers Choice, Chalfont, PA. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Royersford. Joan enjoyed ceramics, reading, and was an avid card player playing in a card club with her friends. Most of all though, Granny loved spending time with her grandchildren, whether it be seeing Adam Sandler movies or just playing games and coloring. She is survived by her three sons: David Coursey Jr. husband of Jacki of Brodheadsville, PA, William Coursey husband of Cecelia of Gilbertsville, PA, and Christopher Coursey husband of Heather of Santa Cruz,CA, as well as eight beloved grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters: Patricia Fink and "Ninner" Dinnocenti; and brother, John Hopple Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 10am on Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 838 Walnut Street, Royersford, Father Peter J. DiMaria will officiate. Burial to follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick. Visitation will be held at the Church (Downstairs) Monday from 8:45-9:45am.
