toPietro "Nick" Amoroso, devoted and loving husband of Gabriella (DiPrinzio) Amoroso, of Royersford, PA Age 82, died on Friday morning at his home in royersford after a brief illness.
Nick was born in Canosa chieti, Italy a son to the late Rocco and Concetta (Fonzo) Amoroso.
At the age of Fourteen Nick came to the United States and has resided in Royersford since 1947, he married his sweetheart Gabriella and was a devoted and dedicated husband for sixty four years.
He was employed for the Twin County Construction in his early years and then owened and operated "Nick and Lucy's Cafe" in Pottstown for forty one years until his retirment. Nick was a faithful member of St. Thomas More Parish in Pottstown. In retirement he enjoyed repairing and working with his hands arounbd his home and he would lend a heloing hand to anyone at any time. Nick loved spending time with his family, he enjoyed his grandchildfen and annuaaly gathered all for the traditional "Tomato Canning". He traveled to Europe visiting his family throughout Italy. Nick will be dearly missed by his wife and children and grandchildren;
In additron to his wife he is survived by Daughters:
Concetta Louise wife of Gregory Ludwig of Potstown, Mary Jane wife of Robert Yost of North Coventry and Christina wife of Bernard Boyle of Blandon. And grandchildren: Bobby Yost,Carlie Ludwig, Marc Ludwig,Alec Boyle and Connor Boyle.
And Sister: Philomena Rorabaugh of Royersford. His also survived by several noeces and nephews and in laws. Pre deceased by Sister: Maria Mastrangelo.
Relatives and frineds are invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday January 30, 2016 at 11am a the St. Thomas More Church 2101 Pottstown Pike Pottstown PA 19465 The Rev. Hugh Dougherty wil officiate. Entombment to follow in the limerick Garden of Memories. His viewing will be held friday evening at teh Shalkop grace & Strunk Funeral Home Bridge and Church Streets Spring Cit from 6-8:30pm and on saturday at the church from 9:30am to 10:45 am; Memorioal gift may be made in his memory to the St. Thomas More Churchn to the above address ort the
