Grace M. Burke, 86, Spring City Grace M. Burke, 86, wife of the late William Burke, died Monday, April 11, 2016 surrounded by her family in Lancaster, PA. A lifetime resident of Spring City, Grace was born to the late Walter and the late Lottie (Weiss) Hein. She graduated from Spring City High School and was very active in the community. A 70-year member of Bethel United Methodist Church, you could find her volunteering in the kitchen, bazaars and even made dresses and shorts for people in Ethiopia. Grace volunteered at the Spring Ford Historical Society and worked for many years as a lunch lady in food preparation for the Spring Ford School District. Grace leaves behind a daughter, Louann, wife of Francis McGinty of Lancaster and two grandchildren who knew her as “Mongie”: Tara, McGinty of Fairfax, VA and Megan McGinty of Lancaster, PA; great nephews: Doug, Bobby and Jimmy Gabel and a great niece, Louise Gabel Kritzberger. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 19, 2016 in Bethel United Methodist, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City. With the Rev. Jacqueline Hines officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 - 11:00am Tuesday also at Bethel United Methodist, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, PA, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA. Burial will be in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Spring City. Memorials in Grace’s honor can be made to Bethel United Methodist church. Arrangements are being handled by Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
