Amanda Victoria Varconda, 97, Spring City Amanda Victoria Varconda, January 28, 1919 to May 7, 2016 passed away peacefully at Manatawny Manor at the age of 97 years old. Amanda was a lifelong resident of Royersford and Spring City. She is survived by her son Richard Varconda, Sr. wife Donna and daughter Marsha Miller. Amanda is survived by three grandchildren, Richard Varconda Jr.Tracey Kiefner and J.P. Miller. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Lauren Kiefner, Ella Kiefner, Grant Kiefner, Cassidy Miller, and J.R. Miller. Her husband George, brother Harry and sisters Florence and Ida predeceased her. Amanda dropped out of school to help support her family and worked at the Flag factory, Pottstown Hospital and did cleaning and laundry for a number of local families. She was a member of the Phoenixville YWCA for many years. Amanda also was a Red Cross Bloodmobile volunteer. Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be at Zion Lutheran Church, 39 Bonnie Brae Rd., Spring City, PA from 10:00 – 10:45 AM on Thursday, May 12, 2016. Services will begin at 11:00 AM and will be officiated by Rev. Paul Townsend. Interment will be at Limerick Garden of Memories immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church 39 Bonnie Brae Rd. Spring City, PA 19475.
