Joseph E. Mihutz, 82, husband of Veronica (Place) Mihutz, son of the late Jozeph and Barbara Mihutz, died peacefully at home on Thursday, January 12. Born in Mont Clare, PA, he was a graduate of Phoenixville High School and Villanova University. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during The Korean War. A member of St. Basil the Great Church, He was an engineer for The Budd Company. He enjoyed fishing, golf, traveling, and spending time with his family In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by his children, Michelle Stong, wife of Bryan, Joseph Mihutz, Lisa Holeton, wife of Keith, and Thomas Mihutz. In addition, he is survived by his grandchildren, Stephanie, Amanda, John, Danielle, Slade, and Dominique; and great grandchildren Olivia and Hailey. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by sisters Ann Kalavik and Mary Carr. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral mass on Monday, January 16, 2017 at St. Basil the Great Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, PA 19442 with Father Pacitti officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Interment will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or www.stjude.org.
