Charles J. Dascher, 70, Spring City Charles “CJ” J. Dascher, 70, beloved husband of Barbara (Zimmerman) Dascher died Thursday in the Phoenixville Hospital. He was born in Phoenixville to the late Jefferson and the late Doris (Riess) Dascher, and lived most of his life in Phoenixville and Spring City, areas. A 1966 graduate of Phoenixville High School, he worked as a Deli Manager for WA WA for 15 years until his retirement. Prior to that he was self-employed owning and operating the CJ Hair Fashions Beauty Shop. CJ served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. CJ enjoyed cooking and woodworking, but most of all, he loved being with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters; Nicole Yusko of Limerick, Denise Grater, wife of Stephen of Spring City, Rachel Pittman, wife of Damon of Pottstown; his son Jason Dascher, husband of Crystal of Spring City; and 11 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City, PA 19475 on Wednesday, February 22, at 7:00 PM. The Rev. Paul Thornhill will officiate. Burial will be private in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 PM.
