Obituary of Maude L. Taney

Maude L. Taney, 91, widow of Lawrence E. Taney, Sr., died Monday, May 8,  in Manor Care - Pottstown.

She was born in Chester County to the late Arthur and the late Sadie (Wensel) Albright.  She lived most of her life in the Pughtown/Parkerford area, and was employed at the former Rectacon until her retirement.  Maude loved to sew, cook, bake apple pies and was a wonderful homemaker, who loved her grandchildren dearly.

She is survived by her son Lawrence “Larry” Taney, Jr., husband of Mary; granddaughter Christin, grandson, Corey, and great grandchildren, Lucas, Abigail, and Aidan; and brother Charles Albright.  She is predeceased by her sister, Ethel Hampton, and brothers Iasic, John and George.

Friends and family are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, May 12, at 11:00 AM at The Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City, PA  19475.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will be held at The Brownback United Church of Christ Cemetery, 640 Ridge Rd., Spring City, PA
