George Pinter, 78, Spring City George Pinter, 78, husband of Sandra Pinter, died Wednesday, August 2, at home. He was born in Budapest, Hungary to the late and the late Teresa Horvath, and lived in Spring City for 50 years. He worked in the restaurant business for over 50 years until his retirement. An avid chess player, he belonged to 3 chess clubs. He enjoyed working and repairing his home, and attending various events of his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife,he is survived by his 3 children: Teresa P. Klansek, wife of Mark of Virginia, Geoffrey Pinter, husband of Laurie of Barto, and Wendy Markgraf, wife of Jim of Texas; and 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Abigail, Joanna, and Jared. He is predeceased by sister, Teresa Pinter, and brother, Stephen Pinter. Family and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday, August 5, at 10:00 AM, at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA with The Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Burial will be held following the mass.
