Priscilla McDermott, 95
Priscilla Faye Rogers McDermott, wife of the late John McDermott, went home for Christmas early December 24, 2021. Born, June 16, 1926 to the late Jones J. Rogers and Pearl Irene Frock, Priscilla spent her life in the Royersford area and was a 1944 graduate of Spring-Ford High School.
Priscilla married John in 1947 and enjoyed spending her time raising her two sons. She loved her family and would host family get togethers at her home in Royersford for the major summer holidays. Her famous cheesecake was a must-eat at the family picnics. With a mind for detail and accuracy, she later worked in bookkeeping at Presbyterians United for Biblical Concerns. She was known as a woman of prayer. She would spend hours each day praying for family, friends, and people in need. If there was a need in the community, people knew to call Priscilla to pray. She loved her family and was their greatest supporters. Her smile and sweet spirit gave Priscilla friends wherever she went. After the passing of her husband John, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Janice Faust and the late Minerva Emery, eating at her favorite restaurants and shopping at King of Prussia.
Priscilla leaves behind sons, Scott (wife, Dawn) and Tim (wife, Trudy) five grandchildren (Rebecca McDermott, Darcy Danson, Lauren Nealy, Sara Piercy, Michelle McDermott) and nine great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service celebrating her life will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Grace Assembly of God Church, 1271 W Bridge Street, Spring City, PA 19475 at 10:30 AM. The service will be live streamed here. Visitation will be held from 9:30–10:30. Interment will be immediately following at Limerick Garden of Memories.
