


Obituary of Jerome D. Mealey Sr.
Jerome Mealey Sr,, 93, widower of the late Helen J. (Arney) Mealey, passed away early Thursday morning, January 30, 2025 in the Heatherwood Retirement Facility.
He was born September 28, 1931 in Norristown, PA to the late John and the late Rosemary (Bassill) Mealey. Jerome grew up in the Norristown area and graduated in 1950 from West Catholic High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. After military life, he worked the night shift at BF Goodrich in Oaks, Pa and with a partner, operated and owned Mealey and Myers Window & Siding during the day.
In retirement, Jerome was physically fit and active into his 80’s. He played tennis in High School and continued to play until age 85. He enjoyed watching sports on TV, and kept his mind sharp with reading and crossword puzzles. Jerome enjoyed travelling with his beloved wife, particularly cherishing time at the Chesapeake Bay, while boating, waterskiing and playing quoits with family and friends
Jerome leaves behind his children: Cheryl Ranieri (Rob), Jerome D. Mealey, Jr, Louis A. Toth (Lisa), Cindy McMinn (Patrick), Julie Bragg (The late Darrell) and Sandra Fulmer. Also, Susan Toth, Daughter in law, Brian Fulmer, Son in Law and Sister: Carol Wolf (the late Kenneth), 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one grandson.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at the R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Saturday, February 8, 2025 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
Memorial Service will be immediately following at 10:30 at the R. Strunk Funeral Home followed by inurnment at the Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer PA.
