Obituary of Shirley O. Evans

With great sorrow we share the passing of Shirley O. (Hall) Evans of Royersford, age 94. She passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, in the Phoenixville Hospital surrounded by loved ones. 

Shirley was born in South Coventry, Chester County, on March 14, 1931 to the late Olive P. (Wynn) and William D. Hall. She lived most of her life in North Coventry with her late husband, James H. Evans.

Shirley attended the former North Coventry High School. She had many hobbies but she loved quilting, knitting, crocheting, and watching the Phillies. Shirley was an avid collector of Hall China. She enjoyed attending auctions and acquiring her many treasures. 

Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by two daughters: Judy Alackness (Joseph) and Betty Ireson (Kevin).

Also survived by grandchildren: Michelle, Paul Richard (III), Kelly, James, Megan, and Meredith. She had many great and great-great grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by her brother Fred; daughter, Nancy Barr; grandson: Robert T. Barr and great grandchildren: Tyeler and Jordan Barr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the Shenkel United Church of Christ Cemetery, 1580 Shenkel Road, Pottstown, PA, 19465 at 11:00 AM.
