Obituary of Paul W. Phelps

Paul William Phelps, of Folcroft, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 24, 2025, surrounded by his two daughters. He was the son of the late Neil and Fay Phelps-Dugan (Dewar).

Paul grew up in Wallingford, Pennsylvania, and attended Nether Providence High School, where he was a talented multi-sport athlete, earning multiple varsity letters in wrestling and other sports. After graduation, he served in the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Lance Corporal.  He later worked for John Hancock, ran his own painting business for several years, and worked for Suburban Materials for more than 20 years. He was skilled with his hands and took pride in his work.

Paul is survived by his daughters Erica Phelps (Alex Bulger) and Ashleigh Phelps (James Arena), and his grandchildren Addie and Easton Bulger. He was predeceased by his brother Neil Theodore Phelps III and sisters Cynthia Jackson and Barbara Phelps.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
