Kenneth Miller, Jr.

Obituary of Kenneth L. Miller, Jr.

Please share a memory of Kenneth to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kenneth L. Miller, 77, a longtime resident of Limerick Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Born in Bloomsburg, PA, Ken was the son of the late Kenneth Leroy Miller and Helen Marqueen (Whitenight) Miller. He was a 1966 graduate of Methacton High School, where he proudly played on the football team and eventually played semiprofessional football. His love of sports continued throughout his life—he was an avid football fan.  He became a scout for local colleges in Pennsylvania and coached high school football, making an impact on countless young athletes.

Ken honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam War veteran. His strength, discipline, and unwavering loyalty to his country defined much of who he was.

Ken had a passion for life and the outdoors. He traveled cross-country on his Harley, embracing the freedom of the open road. He was a skilled dog trainer, particularly of hunting dogs, and enjoyed the camaraderie and quiet moments found in deer hunting. Whether on his motorcycle, working with his dogs, or spending time in the woods, Ken felt most at home surrounded by nature.  He also loved his family and community.

He is survived by his brother, Timothy Miller of Trooper, PA; his sister, Diane Kinlaw and her husband, Jason, of Naples, Italy; two nieces; one nephew; three great-nieces; and one great-nephew. Kenneth’s family and friends will remember him for his strength, determination, and adventurous spirit.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Gathering from 3 - 5 PM on Wednesday, November 19th at the Thomas O’Conner Post 602 of the American Legion 25 N. Main Street, Spring City, PA 19475.    Online condolences can be made at www.sgsfuneralhome.com
