Dear Barb, dear friend, you will be missed by me and so many people in so many ways. What a privilege and pleasure it has been to spend time with you over the years at drives, picnics, riding along with me in my carriage on pleasure and exhibition drives, or waiting it out rooting for you and Merrill to win the bidding with a great deal at Martin's carriage auction. You have been a superlative role model - how to run a barn, how to fully live your life, how to have fun; there will be a huge hole in our hearts but we will remember you always when we are out and about with our driving horses. And I will miss you feeding us like a den mother at various get togethers and campouts with your great cooking. My favorite memory is last fall when I had a retired Amish horse on trial and we were on a group drive over very rough terrain. There were about 10 creek crossings including really deep ditches that really tested all the horses but especially this road horse who had not been cross country - you were really white knuckling it in the back of my carriage bouncing through those gullies. You really showed how game you were and maintained not only your composure but your sense of humor throughout. You advised me that the horse was a keeper and you were of course spot on in your horse sense. Thank you for all the memories and hope you are smiling down on all of us, till we meet up with you again sometime. XO, Judy Kinney
