Obituary of Nancy T. McFarland

Nancy T. McFarland, 89, of Pottstown

Nancy T. McFarland, 89, wife of the late Paul T. McFarland, Sr., passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Manatawny Manor, surrounded by many loved ones, where she had resided.

Born on September 24, 1936, in Norristown, Nancy was the daughter of the late Joseph Martino, Sr. and Antoinette (Palma) Martino. One of eight children, she was raised by Italian immigrant parents and strongly believed in the American Dream, valuing hard work, civic responsibility, and the importance of every individual.

Nancy lived in the Audubon area for more than 50 years and was a graduate of Norristown High School. She had a deep interest in politics and public service, dedicating much of her life to her community. She served as a Lower Providence Township Supervisor and was also active on the Lower Providence Zoning Board, the League of Women Voters, and the Montgomery County Prison Board.

She is survived by her three children: Paul (Tab) McFarland, Jr. (Sophia), Bryan J. McFarland (Cheri), and Valorie Harper (Kelly); eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren, three siblings:  Joe Martino (Connie), Marie Dotts (John), and  John Martino (Johanna) and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony Martino, Dominic Martino, and Peter Martino, and her sister, Margaret Vitelli.
