Obituary of Edward G. Myers

Edward Gene Myers, age 81, born on April 9^th, 1944, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday December 28^th, 2025, surrounded by his family following his strong and courageous battle against cancer.

Ed, as he was affectionately known, was the beloved son of his late parents George Myers and Marie Hensel. He was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Following graduation, Ed attended barber school and worked at Dom’s Barber Shop in West Chester. From there, he founded his janitorial business, Brandywine Maintenance Company, where he actively worked for nearly 40 years. Upon retirement, Ed enjoyed working on HO-scale model trains, building an extravagant model train display in his home. He was also an Eagles fan. And anyone who knew Ed knew that he loved to take care of his yard.

Whether through his work, his involvement in St. Joseph’s Church (Spring City, PA), or his family and friends, he touched countless lives and left a lasting impact.

He was a loving and devoted husband and father, the heart of his family who he always put first. Ed is preceded in death by his son, Michael Myers, and is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosemarie Myers, his three daughters: Aimee, Teneisha, and Tyshia Myers, his son-in-law Stephen Brassard, and his half-brother, Robert Hughes. He is also survived by his cherished four-legged companions, Pattie and Pumpkin Spice.

Ed’s kindness, generosity, and love for his family and friends will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Friends and family are invited to attend an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, January 5, 2026, at St. Joseph’s Parish, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475.

Visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 1107 Glenside Road, Downingtown, PA.
