Obituary of Maurice L. Ohlinger

Maurice “Mick” Ohlinger, born October 21, 1964, at Reading Hospital, passed away peacefully at his home in Shillington, PA, on January 23, 2026, at the age of 61, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was the beloved child of Charles and Dorothy Ohlinger (Fox).

 

He leaves behind his loyal and loving companion of more than 24 years, Cindy G. Worth; his brother, Walter Ohlinger of Pottstown; and his children, Amanda L. McCabe (Collin); bonus daughter, Chrissy Gruber (Brandon) of St. Lawrence; and bonus son, David Worth (Jac) of Virginia.

 

Mick was a proud and present “Pop” to his granddaughter Sadie Mae Hookway; bonus granddaughters Catherine McCabe, Brianna and Meadow Gruber and Merida Worth; and bonus grandson Harrison Worth. He is survived by one bonus great-grandchild, Brextyn Gruber, and his two beloved dogs, Hope and Lily, who brought him comfort and companionship.

 

A true master of carpentry, Mick was known for his exceptional craftsmanship, unwavering dedication, and deep knowledge earned through years of hard work and experience. He enjoyed playing games, swimming in creeks on hot summer days, and cooking—finding great joy in sharing meals with family and friends.
