Obituary of Raymond R. Hookway, Sr.
Raymond Hookway Sr., 89, passed away Wednesday February 4th, 2026.
He was born September 21, 1936 in Royersford, Pennsylvania to the late Reuben Hookway and Mary (Yost). Ray was the last remaining child of seven siblings; Reuben, Earl, Dick, Charlie, Doris, and Dorothy. He is preceded in death by his son Raymond Hookway Jr. He leaves behind his son Robert Hookway, his grandchildren Ryan and Tara, and six great grandchildren. As well as the families of Kevin & Melissa Readman, and Keith & Jennifer Readman.
Ray enjoyed fishing and hunting, as well as his regular fishing trips to Canada. He worked at Keene Radio in Phoenixville from 1965 to 2000. He enjoyed repairing electronics as a hobby well after he retired. He was a faithful member of Parkerford Church of the Brethren.
Services will be held at Parkerford Church on March 14th, 2026. Visitors from 10-11am, service and refreshments to follow.
