Catherine S. Wright, 68, East Coventry
Catherine Wright, 68, beloved wife of David Wright, passed away late Friday, March 6, 2026, at home, surrounded by her family.
Born March 25, 1957, in Maine, she was one of five children of the late Raymond Stafford and the late Shirley (Smith) Stafford. Catherine was raised in the Phoenixville area and graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1975. She received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University.
Catherine possessed a sharp mind and a wide range of talents that served her well throughout her career. She worked for several local companies, including Foote Mineral, The Eastwood Company, and Teleflex. She later served as Office Manager for Evans Cooling Systems Inc., where she eventually retired.
While Catherine worked diligently throughout her professional life, her greatest devotion was always to her family. She enjoyed sewing, playing the bassoon and piano, and scuba diving earlier in her life. Later in life, Catherine enjoyed spending time with her family at their family cabin. Some of Catherine and David’s most treasured memories were the times they spent together in the mountains both in quiet solitude and gathered with family. She loved hiking through the woods, and riding ATVs with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed gazing at the dark night sky, reflecting on the vastness and beauty of life. Even to the end of her journey Catherine continued to volunteer in her community and support others on their journey.
In addition to her beloved husband of 46 years, David Wright, Catherine is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Colin) Bartley and Melanie Wright; her siblings, Robert Stafford (Jan), Dorothy Manney (Tom), and Elizabeth Clarke (James); and her three grandchildren, Victoria (Josh), Jayden, and Connor. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Taney (Larry) and Paul Wright (Rachele).
She was preceded in death by her brother, Leonard Stafford, and her brother-in-law, Mark Wright.
Please no flowers. The family asks that you consider donations in Catherine’s honor to The Goodwill Ambulance, Ridge Fire Company, METAVivor, or Unite for Her
