Florence M. Mosteller, 89, Myrtle Beach formally of Spring City
Florence Mosteller, 89, passed away Saturday April 11,2026 at her home in Myrtle Beach with her family.
She was born November 13, 1936 in Chester Springs to the late Harry “Hen” Favinger and the late Bertha Mason Favinger. A lifelong resident of the Birchrunville area, Florence was involved in her beloved Fox hunting community and was an active person. Some of the other hobbies she enjoyed were horseback riding, bingo, bowling, baseball, softball and playing cards. Florence had many jobs over the years including working as a Secretary for the Head Librarian at West Chester University, serving food at Owen J. Roberts School Cafeterias and she also enjoyed working for Marie’s Coventry Florist.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by four children: Lori Gutierrez, Terri Clark (Brian), Todd Mosteller (Elizabeth) and Cheryl Good (Butch); 2 Grandchildren: Tucker Rost (Breeann) and Tori Rost; 2 step grandchildren: Adam and Natalie and sisters: Carol McAfee (Ken) and Shirley Lenart (Bill). She is preceded in death by her sons: Robert “Bobby” Mosteller and Michael (Mikey) Mosteller; brother Harry “Jim” Favinger.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday April 17 in Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, with Rev. John Shantz officiating.
Visitation prior to the service will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Friday, April 17 prior to the service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
Burial will be immediately following in the St. Matthews Lutheran Cemetery, 2440 Conestoga Road. Chester Springs, PA 19425.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Florence’s honor to St. Judes Research Hospital.
