Patricia "Pat" Ann (Dougherty) Plumley, 92, Spring City

Patricia “Pat” Ann (Dougherty) Plumley, 92, daughter of Jessie A. (Conway) and Joseph E. Dougherty Sr. Pat was the surviving spouse of Robert B. Plumley, Sr.  Born and raised in Phoenixville, PA, graduated from Phoenixville High School, Class of 1952. 

Pat was pre-deceased by her brothers Joseph E. Dougherty (former Mayor of Phoenixville) and Richard O. Dougherty.  Pat worked for many years of her life, a total of 60 years.  This included Ciba Products in Kimberton, 3 years; Philco Products, 3 years; Jones Motor, 25 years; General Electric/Lockheed Martin, 14 years; and received the “PRIDE AWARD” (Professional Recognition of Individual Dedication and Excellence); Great Valley Publishing Co, 18 years, where she received Employee of the Year at the age of 69.

Pat was a Gold Card Life member of the Ladies Aide of the Spring City American Legion and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Spring City American Legion.  She volunteered for approximately 40 years at the American Legion, serving at Banquets, Weddings, Christmas Parties, Super Bowl parties, and monthly breakfasts.

Pat is survived by three children: Robert B., Jr., Spring City; Brian M., spouse of Ruth, Pottstown; and Lisa P. Allan, Spouse of Edwin Allan, Malvern. Pre-deceased by a twin daughter, Lori A.; Four grandchildren, Ashley Corey, spouse of Jon Corey, Bradford Allan, and Melissa Kay, and Michael Plumley.  Five great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, in St. Joseph RC Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, 19475, with Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM on Saturday, June 6, at St. Joseph RC Church.

 Burial will be immediately following in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475
