Edward  L. Evans, Jr., 76, Phoenixville

Edward L. Evans, Jr., 76, widower of the late Estelle Marchionne Evans, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, July 10, 2026, at Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on April 6, 1950, in Phoenixville, Edward was the eldest of two sons born to the late Edward L. Evans, Sr. and the late Olga Shivak Evans. He spent most of his life in Oaks, where he graduated from Spring-Ford High School and enjoyed playing baseball. His love of the game continued into adulthood, earning him the nickname "Fast Eddy" while playing in local softball leagues. He married Estelle in 1989 and moved to Phoenixville.

He enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley perform gospel music and faithfully read his Bible each day.

He is survived by his brother, Robert Evans and his wife, Karen, of Limerick; his stepdaughter, Tanya Pannella of Florida; his nieces, Tina Ado and her husband, Ousseini, Bobbi-Jo Evans, and Kaylee Evans; and his great-niece, Morgan Shultz.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Christine McDowell of the Department of Aging, as well as their cousins and extended family members, for the compassion, support, and assistance they provided during this difficult time.
