Robert A.  "Bob" Jones, 80

Robert "Bob" Jones, 80, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Exton Senior Living.

Born on February 28, 1946, Bob was the youngest of four children born to the late Clarence and Hilda (Gamble) Jones. Affectionately known as "Bob," he graduated from Spring-Ford High School with the Class of 1964.

Bob spent most of his life in the Spring City area, where he was a faithful member of Spring City United Methodist Church. He was actively involved in the life of the congregation, playing in the church baseball league and teaching Sunday School for many years. His quiet faith and willingness to serve were evident in the way he lived his life.

Following high school, Bob began his career as a pharmacy technician, first at Pennhurst State School and later at the Southeastern Veterans' Center, where he remained until his retirement. He was known as a kind, dependable, and hardworking man who took great pride in his work and was admired for his remarkable attendance, rarely, if ever, missing a day.

In retirement, Bob enjoyed following his beloved Philadelphia Phillies. A devoted fan, he made it a goal to see the Phillies play in as many ballparks as possible, traveling to more than 18 Major League stadiums over the years.

Although Bob was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings, he is lovingly remembered by his nieces, Deborah DeRito (wife of the late husband, John) and Susan Lopzonski (wife of the late husband, Craig) along with several extended family members. He will be especially missed by his dear friend, Beverly Kandrick, whose friendship was a treasured blessing in his life.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Limerick Garden of Memories.
