Charles Edwin Feairheller Sr., 95, of Royersford, PA, passed away peacefully on August 8 2026 surrounded by his family.
Born December 2, 1930, Charles was a lifelong resident of Royersford. He was the husband of Wanda Johnston Feairheller, with whom he shared 73 years of marriage. Their union reflected enduring love, devotion, and a strong commitment to family.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy for three years during the Korean War. He remained dedicated to his community as a longtime member of the Friendship Fire Company of Royersford, Liberty Fire Company of Spring City, the Spring City American Legion and the Pikeville Sportsman Club He also served as a past Commander of the Royersford American Legion.
Following his military service, Charles built a career in the community he grew up in. He was self employed and operated a barbershop in Spring City for 37 years, becoming a familiar and respected member of the community.
A man who believed in giving back, Charles volunteered each year by placing American flags on the graves of veterans at Fernwood Cemetery in observance of Memorial Day. He was very passionate about remembering and honoring our fallen heroes. Charles also participated each year in the Spring City - Royersford Memorial Day parade.
Charles enjoyed the outdoors and spent time golfing, gardening, hunting, reading. He was also a huge Phillies fan. He was a strong, determined man with an extraordinary will to live. Above all, his greatest joy was his family, especially his wife, Wanda. He treasured time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who brought him great pride and happiness.
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his children, Chuck Feairheller and his wife, Joan, of Spring City; Karen Koiro and her husband, David, of Fleetwood, PA; and Lisa Lowrie of Royersford. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters Marie Strause and Katherine Caparro, his brother Paul Feairheller, and his grandson, Brad Zunski.
Charles leaves behind a legacy of love, service, hard work, devotion to family, and his commitment and dedication to his Catholic faith. His 95 years were filled with meaningful memories, friendships, and countless lives he touched. He will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on through his family, and by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 19, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA, with Rev. Charles O’Hara officiating. Friends and family may call from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass
