Obituary of David Scott Hedrick

David Scott Hedrick, 59, Pottstown

David Hedrick, 59,  passed away Saturday August 22, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer.

One of five children born September 21, 1966 in Pottstown to the late Norman Hedrick and the late Elsie (Ibach) Hedrick.

David attended and graduated from Spring-Ford High School class of 1985.  He became a welder and worked for S&W Industries, Birdsboro, PA in Metal Fabrication for the last 20 years.  Dave was very proud of his work as a Robotic Weld Operator, fitting parts and making adjustments to ensure quality products.  He truly enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as spending most of his time outdoors.  He could be found fishing Pine Creek, Tioga County and French Creek.

From an early age, Dave’s favorite past time was hunting large game with friends and family including archery, flintlock, muzzle loading and shot guns. Dave was a fan of NHRA and PA Sprint Cars.  He attended many races and travelled along the East Coast as far as Florida to the Gator Nationals.

He will rest in peace near his favorite fishing spot, along Pine Creek, Tioga County, PA 

He leaves behind his siblings:  

Linda Hedrick of Royersford, Jean Budd (Husband, Steve) of Kennett Square, John Hedrick (wife, Tammy) of Stowe and Melissa Mengel (Husband, Matthew) of Royersford

His daughter: Alyssa Hedrick Davidheiser (Husband, Morgan) of Boyertown; granddaughters:  Layla and Harper Davidheiser.

Madison Hedrick of Lancaster and Elizabethtown.   

David also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
