L. Ray Smith, 89, of Linfield, PA husband of the late Marlene (Miller) Smith died on Friday in the Coventry Manor. Mr. Smith was born in East Vincent Township a son f the late Horace and Clara (Pennypacker) Smith. He resided most of his life in Linfield and attended the former Spring City HighSchool. Mr. smith worked for many years as a truck driver for the Jones Motor, and the former Scout Trucking until his retirement. Mr. Smith always kept himeself busy working outside and especially mowing lawns. He was a member of the Goodwill Fire Co., and New Berlinville Fire Co. He is survvied by a son: Kenneth husband of Laurie Smith,Linfield and Companion: Catherine Smiley, Douglassville. Pre deceased by Sister: Helen High and brothers: Charles and Lawrence Smith and a grandson: Wayne Allen Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday at 11am at teh Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Brdige and Church Streets,Spring City. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. Viewing will be Wednesday morning from 10-11am in the funeral home.
