Gerard M. Collins, Jr, 71, Royersford Gerard M. Collins, Jr, 71, entered into eternal life Monday, December 31, 2018 at home. He was born. August 26, 1947 in Norristown to the late Gerard M and the late Catherine (Dunlevy) Collins, Sr. Gerard, affectionately known as Jerry, graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1965. He was a Royersford resident for over 44 years. Jerry served our country as a Sergeant in the US Air Force serving as a medic in the Vietnam War and was active in the VFW of Royersford. He loved bowling, boating, golfing and time spent with his grandchildren. Time spent at their Lake Wallenpaupack home with family was very important to Jerry. He worked for over 40 years and retired as a Produce Manager for Acme. Jerry leaves behind Catherine (Doleva) his loving wife of 44 years, Three Children: Colleen Collins (Reading), Cathleen Collins Kabakci (Spring City, partner Rick Flanders) and Paul Gerard Collins (Boyertown, fiancé Jen O’Hara); Three Grandchildren: Anthony Kabakci, Zander Kabakci and Mary Hazel Collins; Predeceased: Siblings, Sheila Collins and Gary Collins A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Monday January 7, 2019 in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic, 838 Walnut Street, Royersford with the Rev. Gorka officiating. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM Sunday January 6, 2019 and 9:00AM – 10 AM Monday, January 7 in the R. Strunk Funeral Home 400 Main Street Phoenixville Burial will be immediately following in Calvary Cemetery in W. Conshohocken.
