Obituary of Raymond R. Hookway

Raymond R. Hookway Jr. of Phoenixville passed away on October 24, 2023, at the age of 64. Born on November 25, 1958, to Raymond R. Hookway, Sr. and Minerva Hookway Thees, Raymond Jr. leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished.

Raymond was a graduate of the Northern Chester County Technical School and dedicated over 45 years to the craft of masonry. Beyond his work, Raymond was known for his love of the great outdoors. He had a passion for hunting, fishing, and engaging in archery. Raymond also loved to travel especially to Canada. He enjoyed spending time with loved ones and playing cards.

He is survived by his loving parents, Raymond R. Hookway, Sr. and Minerva Hookway Thees (Step father, Frank Thees).

He also leaves behind his brother, Robert, nephew Ryan, and niece Tara.  Along with 3 great nephews, and 3 great nieces. 

Stepbrother Michael Alvin Thees (Diane),  stepsister, Stacey Lynn Minotto (Mark), and step nephews Anthony, Frankie and Gio, who will always remember him fondly.

There was a private viewing for the family. A Memorial service will be held at the Parkerford Church 20 Reinhart Road, Pottstown, PA 19465 Saturday, November 18 at 3:30 PM. 

Visitation prior to the service will be from 2:30 -3:30 at the Parkerford Church 20 Reinhart Road, Pottstown, PA 19465. A time of fellowship with light refreshments will follow the service.
