David H. “Rooster” Ritschard, 61, Spring City David H. Ritschard, 61, died Monday, February 1,2016 at home. He was born in Phoenixville to the late Henry and the late Elizabeth (Overdorf) Ritschard. David resided most of his life in the East Coventry Township. A 1973 OJR graduate, David worked as a textile employee at Spring City Knitt Manufacturing for over 15 years and also was employed at the Montgomery County Geriatric Center. He loved motorcycling and hunting and was a member of the Pottsgrove Sportsman Association. David was an active member of the Liberty Fire Company and Friendship Fire Company. David leaves behind his daughter, Heather Ritschard and grandson, Damian Rodriguez of Allentown and three siblings: Jill Pollock , Pottstown; Judy Trisch, Phoenixville, and Randall Ritschard of Pottstown. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Bridge Street, Spring City. With the Rev. Erik Kern officiating.
