Samuel Black, 91, Royersford
Samuel Black, 91, husband of Edna Marie (Moyer) Black passed away Monday September 2, 2019 in the Parkhouse At Providence Pointe.
He was born July 3, 1928 to Lloyd Black and Mary Swartz, and worked for Kulp & Son until his retirement. He was raised by Grace and Paul Swartz whom he called mom and dad. He enjoyed gardening, biking, taking walks and talking to his neighbors. He especially loved spending hours with his two grandchildren. His hobbies were tinkering with his trains and building wooden toys.
Samuel leaves behind his three sons, Richard Black, Andrew Black, and David Black, husband of Jane Black; two grandchildren, David Black (husband of Tiffany) and Ashley Hoffman (wife of William); three great grandchildren, Abbey, Emily, and William “Ryker”; and a brother, Robert Swartz.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:45 AM Saturday September 7, 2019 in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City with Rev. Will McKinney officiating.
Visitation will be from 8:45 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, prior to the service at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.
Burial will be immediately following in the Vincent Mennonite Cemetery.
