Obituary of Sylvia J Emery

Sylvia J. (Stroop) Emery, age 78, wife of the late Ronald J. Emery, died on Friday in her home in Limerick, PA. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Harold and M. Jane (Gillespie) Stroop, she was born in Spring City and resided most of her life in Royersford. Sylvia was a graduate of High School. She was emplyed for many years at the former Clover Lamp Company and for over ten years at the Chester County Health Department until her retirement. Sylvi awas a member of teh former Spring Cit United Methodist Church where she was the church secretary for many years. She also was a life member of the liberty Fire Company of Spring Cit and former president of the Ladies Auxillary of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford. And a member of AARP, Sylvia had many hobbies in life she especially enjoyed crochetin,sewing and embroidering, and also loved hula dancing. Sylvia is survived by her daughters: Renee L. wife of Kenneth Fleck of Sanatoga and Rhonda J. wife of Blaine Stokley of Pottstown. And Three grandchildren and Four great grandchildren. Sister: Muriel wife of James E. Lytle of Wilson, NC and Several nieces and nephews, She is predeceased by a brother: Robert B. Stroop. Relatives and friends are invited to attend he r funeral service on Wednesday 6/8/16 at 11:30am at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home bridge and Church Streest Spring City, The Rev. Dennis Keen will officiate. Burial to follow in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Her viewing will be held Wednesday at the funeral home from 10-11:30am.
