Obituary of Richard Thomas Dix

Richard "Rick" Thomas Dix, 65, Linfield Richard Thomas Dix, 65, died Wednesday January 11, 2017 at home. He was born in Phoenixville to the late Richard Thomas and the late Evelyn (Higgins) Dix. Affectionately known as "Rick", he spent most of his life in the Linfield area. He worked as a machinist for Hydromotion for many years before retiring. Rick enjoyed spending time with his nephew, camping at the shore. He loved cars and racing and earlier in life could be found at Maple Grove Raceway. He had a love for animals, it would not be uncommon for him to sacrifice time and money to help an animal in need. Rick leaves behind a brother: Dennis Rittenhouse of Spring City and two sisters: Bonnie Tuturice, (husband, Russ) of Upper Pottsgrove and Connie Parke of Royersford, many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his cat, "Midnight". A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Bridge Street, Spring City with the Rev. Paul Thornhill officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am to 10:30 am Wednesday January 18, 2017 in the funeral home, Burial will be immediately following at St. Vincent United Church of Christ Cemetery, 137 Ridge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460
