I knew Mid and Blaine since the late 60's. Mid was also a very good friend of my late mother, Freda. They were such nice people. Broad Street isn't the same without them around. Rest in Peace, Mid.
I first met Blaine and Mid Lee when my wife and I joined the Royersford Church of the Brethren in 1972. Blaine was an "unofficial usher" and Mid was the organist. They were both very nice to us being newcomers to the church. Another connection I had with Mid was that I bought her sister's (Dorothy) house in 1975 which is still my residence today. They were "good" people and I was privileged to have known them.
MID WAS OUR AUNT THRU MARRIAGE. ALLEN REMEMBERS GOING TO HER WEDDING. WHEN WE WERE FIRST MARRIED WE SPENTN A LOT OF TIME AT HER HOUSE. SHE WOULD DO ALICE'S HAIR. UNCLE BLAINE AND ALLEN, ALONG WITH ALLENS DAD WENT FISHING. WE KNOW THAT SHE ALONG WITH ALLEN SISTER DORIS IS UP IN HEAVEN PLAY THE ORGANS AND THE PIANOS.
Driving to and from the graveside on Monday my thoughts were flooded of memories of "Mr. and Mrs. Lee." I was 4 when we moved to Spring City thus the Mr. and Mrs. stuck for my life. They were the best neighbors my family ever had. Then later after moving to Rofo I could count on seeing Mid twice weekly at choir practice and Sunday worship as I sat in the men's row right next to the organ at the Royersford Ch. of the Brethren. I thank God for Mid and Blaine and the special memories of have of them.
