Obituary of Donald H Marshall

Donald H. " Goldie" Marshall, age 90 husband of Doris(Beard) Marshall of Spring City died on Monday evening in the South Eastern Veterans Center, Spring City. He was born and lived all his life in Spring City a son of the late Ralph and Esther (Umstead) Marshall. Goldie was a member of the class of 1938 of the former Spring City High School. He was employed for over thirty years at the former Diamond Glass Co. in Royersford until his retirement. He was a member the Spring City United Church of Christ where he volunteered with the food pantry. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels and the Spring Ford Historical Society. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. And he had a knack for writing poetry. He is survived by daughters: Cynthia Sue Wylie and Barbara Ann Marshall and predeceased by brothers: John and Ralph Marshall. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial Service on Saturday at 10:30am at the First United Church of Christ 145 Chestnut Street Spring City, PA the Rev. Erick Kern officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City. Visitation will be held Saturday in church from 9:30-10:30am. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the First United Church of Christ to the above address or the Best Friends Animal Society 5001 Angel Canyon Road Kanab, Utah 84741.
