Obituary of Esther M. Grubb

Esther M. Grubb, age 93, died Saturday, October 29th in the Cornwall Manor. She resided most of her life in Spring City. Esther was born to Rudolph S. and Mary E. (Kulp) Grubb in East Pikeland Township. Esther was a 1937 Spring City High School graduate. Esther was a lifetime member of Spring City United Methodist Church. She sang alto in the choir, taught Sunday School, was on the Administrative Board and volunteered with the United Methodist women's group. Esther enjoyed taking friends out for dinner and lunch. Esther is preceded in death by one sister, Marian Yost and three brothers, Vernon, William and Enos Grubb. Survived by three nieces and six nephews; several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 11:00 AM at Shalkop, Grace and Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City. Rev. Dennis Keen will be officiating. A viewing will be held from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Burial will be immediately following the service at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Spring City. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Spring City United Methodist Church, 45 N. Church Street, Spring City, PA 19475 are being accepted.
