Obituary of Albert C Latshaw

Albert Latshaw, 85, husband of Betty E. (Keeley) Latshaw died Thursday, September 10, 2009 in Reading Hospital where he had been a patient. Born in __________________he was the son of late Clayton and Margaretta (Winner) Latshaw. Mr. Latshaw was a 1941 graduate of the Spring City High School and a 1950 graduate of Shippensburg University. He served in the American Field Service in South Asia during World War II. Mr. Latshaw taught in the Owen J. Roberts school district for 37 years. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Spring. In addidtin to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Paul of Wynnewood, PA and David of Paloma, CA, one daughter, Betty of Spring City; four grandsons, David, Scott, Andrew, and Chris, one granddaughter, Sara, and one brother, Robert, of Spring City. He was preceded n death by one brother, Richard and two sisters, Peggy and Mary-Louise. Services will be held at Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135 Bridge St., Spring City on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 7-8 p.m. and Monday from 10-11 am. The Reverend Erick Kern will officiate. Burial will follow immediately in Brownback's United Church of Christ Cemetery, 640 Ridge Rd., Spring City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Spring City First United Church of Christ , 145 Chestnut St., Spring City, PA Online condolences may be made at sgsfuneralhome.com
