John Calcinore, 84, Royersford John Calcinore, age 84, husband of Sara (Glanski) Calcinore died Friday at his home. He was born in Royersford to the late Remegio and the late Elvera (Golie) Calcinore. John lived all of his life in Royersford. He served in the United States Navy Coast Guard on the USS Sian and later boxed Light Heavy Weight winning the Golden Gloves in 1946, turning pro in 1947. John was employed as a Black Smith/Ferrier working the local thoroughbred race tracks and becoming president of the Black Smith Guild. John worked in his black smith shop at home turning out beautiful art made over his forge and anvil. He was an avid fox hunter and followed the Warwick Village Hounds weekly with his daughter, Reggie. John also enjoyed spending time fishing with his wife and time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife of 66 years,John is survived by a daughter, Reggie, wife of Richard Lorenzo; two sons, John "Chip" Jr. husband of Nivela Calcinore and Robert, husband of Debbie Calcinore; six grandchildren, Chris Hipzer, Sara Calcinore, Ali Calcinore, Adam Kelly and Angel Harrison; sisters, Elizabeth Sciallo and Anne Madera; brother, Louis Calcinore, and several nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his sisters, Mary Jurata and Amelia Sciallo and brothers, Robert Evans and Albert, Ernie and James Calicnore. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass on Tuesday at 11:00am at St Mary of the Assumption Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, with the Reverend John Hutter officiating. Burial to follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 10 to 11a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made in his memory to the Tri County Home and Hospice Program 1600 East High Street Pottstown, PA 19464.
