Obituary of John "Jack" George Miller

John George" Jack" Miller, 84, husband of the late of Bernadette (Gavin) Miller, died Sunday in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. He was born in Royersford to the late Isaac and the late Mabel (Briedenbach) Miller. He was employed for forty years as a Union Plumber for the Local 690 until his retirement. He also worked part time after retirement as a security officer at the Phoenixville Hospital for fifteen years. He also served in the United States Navy. Jack was a life member of the Liberty Fire Company and the Spring City American Legion Post 602 Thomas W. O'Connor in Spring City. He is survived by Daughter: Daryl Ann Nedzia wife of Joseph of Spring City and sons: Robert husband of Trudy Miller of Phoenixville, Karl Miller of Phoenixville and Gary husband of Lauren of Kimberton. And sister: Jean wife of Bill Christy of Pottstown and brother: Robert Miller husband of Joan of North Carolina; He is preceded in death by a son: John Miller also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. His funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday in Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 135 Bridge Street, Spring City. With the Rev. Charles O'Hara officiating. Burial to follow in the St. Ann's Cemetery, Phoenixville Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Thursday in the funeral home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA.
