Rachelle Elizabeth Harmon, 45, passed away on Thursday evening November 14th, 2019 after a grueling battle with cancer. Her kindness, her smile, and her spirit were second to none. Known to everyone as Shelly, she leaves behind her husband Brian Harmon, as well as two amazing sons, Brian Jr. and Shane.
She was born to Karl Buckwalter and Elizabeth Graham on September 30th, 1974. Cherished and adored by her family, friends, and peers, she is also survived by her sister Karly (Eric) Gehman, as well as her brothers Ken (Susan) Salkowski, and Bob Salkowski, along with several nieces and nephews.
Shelly grew up in and around the Royersford area, and was a 1993 graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School. She went on to graduate from Millersville University in 1998 with a degree in Elementary Education. She was also a proud and beloved sister of Alpha Sigma Tau.
Shelly devoted her life to helping others, and touched so many lives during her journey throughout her multifaceted career. She especially prided herself in her selfless volunteer work with several local schools and organizations. Shelly was an incredibly loving person and an avid sports fan who loved her Philadelphia teams, especially the Eagles, NASCAR, and her country.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service given by The Reverend John Shantz at the Spring City Fellowship Church, 540 Glass Avenue, Spring City, PA 19475 on Friday November 22nd. You are welcome to dress in your favorite Philadelphia Eagles attire. Visitation will be 10:00am-12:00pm, with service from 12:00pm-1:00pm, followed by a further celebration of her life at The Hookies Fire Company, 269 Green Street, Royersford PA 19468. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation at https://cholangiocarcinoma.org/donate/. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
