Helen M. Diffley, 78, Chesterbrook

Helen Diffley, 78, beloved wife of Stephen Diffley, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday January 30, 2020 surrounded by her family.

Helen was born March 11, 1941 in Rockaway Beach, NY to the late Michael Lally and Helen (Lichtenberg) Lally. She is sister to Joe and the late John Lally. She graduated from Stella Maris High School and St. John’s University and holds a degree in Elementary Education. She married the love of her life, Steve, and cherished being a stay-at-home mom to their three children. Helen treasured her trips to Florida, Lake George and Atlantic City. Her favorite days were spent cruising, going to the beach and boating every weekend. She loved her Irish roots, vacations with family, holidays, dining out, the warm sun and playing cards with her grandchildren.

“Grandma” was adored by her family who will remember her kindness and compassion. She always had the ability to make them smile and feel unconditionally loved.

Helen leaves behind Steve, her husband of 58 years, three children: Robert Diffley (Jennifer), Kelly Barton (Michael) and Eileen Thomas (Frazier), her brother Joseph Lally and seven grandchildren: Joseph, Sean, Shannon, Frazier, Brendan, Brian and Julia. She also leaves behind many beloved family and friends.

Please join us to honor her on Saturday, February 8th at R. Strunk Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Phoenixville, PA. Visitation from 12:30-2:00 followed there by a short Memorial Service. Everyone is invited to the reception following the service at Molly Maguire's Irish Pub in Phoenixville to celebrate her wonderful life.
