It was my pleasure to gain Jack as a friend when we worked together at the Census. It was never
boring with Jack around! He loved his family and the beach! I am saddened to learn of his passing,
and extend my deepest condolences to his family.

We met Jack when he attended Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster, PA. Jack was an extremely outgoing man who had the ability to carry on a conversation with anyone. He loved to discuss sports, music, and almost any topic of discussion that arose.
We will always remember Jack as a man who, despite encountering some difficulties in life, always seemed to have a positive attitude toward his tough times. We extend our sympathies to Jack's family at his loss.
God's Blessings Jack

I am very sorry to learn of your loss. It was my pleasure to get to know Jack in the early 1970's when we were both members and officers in the West Lancaster Jaycees. His leadership resulted in much good being done in the community.. Leo Shelley

Jack leaves 3 second cousins on his mother’s side. ........Marcia Hoak, Jane Behm and David Hoak.
Jack was almost exactly the same age as Marcia, and for a brief period in their very young childhood, saw each other often when their families both lived in Lancaster.
Jack’s mother, Kathryn Coons , was a favorite first cousin to Carl Hoak, father of his 3 second cousins . Jack and Marcia’s grandmothers were sisters( Ella Graham Stump and Catherine Graham Hoak)
Jack and Marcia’s families, including grandparents, went to Stone Harbor on the Jersey shore at least once a year. The Jersey shore was a favorite vacation spot

I first met Jack when we both served as volunteer advisors to Junior Achievement in Lancaster. He was a mobile DJ at that time as well, which provided another mutual connection. He was a member of and later treasurer of the Keystone Record Collectors. I saw Jack over the years, sometimes attending Orioles games with him. Jack always had something to say. One year we went to the York Fair. For every one person I knew, he knew ten! He was well connected. Cindy, keep the good times you shared to guide you during this difficult time. RIP Jack.

Cindy, You have my deepest condolences. Jack's last several years were certainly not kind to him, but he did persevere & hung in there for as long as he could. Now, he is pain free & whole again. May he rest in peace.
