Obituary of Russell A. Curtis
Russell A. Curtis, 64, passed away on July 30th, 2020 in Pottstown, PA. Russell was born on January 21st, 1956 in Phoenixville, PA to parents Francis and Joyce (Umstead) Curtis. He was a graduate of Springford High School in Royersford, PA, where he played on the football team. Russell was a hard worker who worked in construction for the United Steel Workers Union. He loved to drive and so also worked as a tractor trailer driver for a few years.
Russ was kind and was always willing to help someone out if they needed a ride somewhere. He loved riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and also had fun driving in the snow. Russ was a family man who enjoyed cooking for his family and decorating for the holidays. He was a football fan and enjoyed watching football and rooting for his team, the Philadelphia Eagles. He liked to go to the beach and was an excellent swimmer.
Russell loved to laugh and make people smile. He was often spotted eating Reese’s peanut butter cups, which he always shared. He loved to attend the Kimberton Fire Co. and NORCO Fire Co. fairs and would often win prizes for his family and friends. He also had a knack for getting lucky at the casino slots. We will all miss Russell’s smile and laughter. Rest in peace Russ. You are already missed!
