Obituary of Anna R. Longacre

Anna  R. Longacre, 89, Spring City

Anna Longacre, 89, widow of the late Robert Longacre, passed away Thursday September 3, 2020 in the Pottstown Hospital - Tower Health.

One of nine children, Anna was born April 13, 1931 in Plymouth to the late  George  and the late Etta (Coates) Brower. She was raised in the Norristown area, but moved to the Mont Clare/Port Providence area after meeting and marrying the love of her life, Robert. 

Anna was little in stature, but big in spirit.  She loved well and worked hard.  Anna worked for Detra Flag Company where she managed a team of employees making all sizes and varieties of flags. They called her the “floor lady”.  She would bring her family together for wonderful meals to celebrate occasions.  It was not uncommon in her retirement for Anna and a friend to find their way to the casinos.  

Anna leaves behind two sons:  Stephen Longacre, wife Lauren and James “Jimmy” Longacre, wife Kellie, grandson:  Jamie Longacre and her only remaining living sibling, a brother, Clyde Brower.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM Friday September 18, 2020 in Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, 135, Spring City, PA.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM Friday, September 18, 2020 prior to the service at Shalkop, Grace & Strunk Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
