James "Pat" Patrick Bracelin, 85, Spring City
Pat Bracelin, 85, widow of the late Loretta Bracelin, passed away Thursday September 24, 2020 in the Seasons Hospice.
He was born July 19, 1935 in Phoenixville to the late Thomas Bracelin and the late Anna (Hoffman) Thomas died when James was only 18 months old and his valiant mother raised Pat and his three siblings on her own. Growing up in Port Providence, PA, Pat’s life revolved around sports, playing and watching sports. It was even a running joke in the family that he missed his children’s births because of the love of the team. A graduate of Phoenixville High School, Pat was named “Phoenixville Athlete of the year” in 1952. The newspapers raved about the “Bracelin Boys in the Backfield.”
He married Loretta (Gable) Bracelin in June 19, 1955 and had two adoring children, Jim and Terri. Pat life’s goal was to love his wife and children. He had a reputation of working hard and going above and beyond what was expected of him. Pat enjoyed and spent many years at Synthane Taylor Corporation. When they closed, he spent his remaining working career at Graco Manufacturing.
After retirement, puttering around in his “special place”, his shed, was a favorite past time. His hands had to be busy. He was an avid Bow and Rifle hunter.
