Obituary of Donna Lillmars
Donna M Lillmars, 90, cherished wife of Carl A Lillmars Jr. stepped from time into eternity and the loving arms of her Savior this Sunday March 14, 2021.
Donna was born November 30, 1930 in St. Louis to the late Gilbert and Margret Schmidt Borgman.
Carl and Donna met in the 6th grade and would have celebrated their 70th year of marriage this September. She graduated from Haverford High School, attended Grove City College and then in her forties graduated from Wilmington School of Nursing at the top of her class with an RN degree.
Donna was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose love for the Lord was reflected in all of these relationships. Her focus in life was on serving others rather than herself. She cherished and loved the time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren (9), great-grandchildren (10) and friends with this devotion being returned to her in kind. She delighted in spending time with her family and especially at their lake cabin in PA and during their yearly winter stays in FL. Her career in nursing was a true joy performed with skill and compassion. Talents in sewing, painting, gardening were also hobbies that filled her time. With all of these activities, she made time to attend and lead women’s bible studies and do volunteer work.
In addition to her husband, Donna leaves behind three children, Steve Lillmars and wife Jean of Danville, PA, Diane Lillmars Banks and husband Bill of Kimberton, PA, Beverly Lillmars Carlson and husband Russell of Orlando, FL, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Gary Lillmars married to Peggy of Bucktown, PA.
