Obituary of Charles Black
Charles "Chuck" Black, 61, Birdsboro
Charles Black, 61, husband of Donna (Pierson) Black passed away early Saturday morning, May 8, 2021 in the Reading Hospital.
He was born July 20, 1959 in Phoenixville to the late Charles Black and Marion Davis Colmpus. Chuck attended Northern Chester County Technical School and was employed for many years at the former Terrytowne Hardware Store.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting at Raystown Lake, often thinking of Raystown as his second home. He also enjoyed the Jersey shore.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by his mother, Marion Colmpus , his daughter, Nicole Donley, and his three step daughters, Kelly Frith , Kristie Frith, and Dana Frith, his sister, Terri (wife of Don) Hemler and two nieces, Danielle Mertz, and Stephanie Attilio. He especially loved his nine grandchildren.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:30 PM– 4:00 PM on Tuesday May 25, 2021 at the R. Strunk Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral home at 4:00 PM. Interment of ashes will be private.
