I remember taking my children to find their way through corn mazes near his home that he created.. He loved doing this. I have also gone to the cemetery to hear him speak about history and those buried there. I read his book, Seven Stars and Beyond. Clyde was a simple man and loved his family and this area. My prayers go out to Alda and his family, I am sorry for your loss. I feel his soul will be here foreve Sincerely, Donna Batman

To Alda and family, So sorry to hear of Clyde’s passing. Meeting the two of you at the Bridge Society was a pleasure and Clyde of course loved to talk, Joe and I really enjoyed him. I can only echo the sentiments of Pat Cook and Jim and Gloria Smedley, that the covered-bridge world has lost an esteemed member who was long dedicated to their preservation and restoration. God's peace to Alda, all his family, and his many friends. Blessed are they who die in the Lord; requiescat in pacem.

Alda, It saddens my heart to hear of Clyde's passing. As I sit here and think about all of the adventures that me and Clyde had over the years I wonder about the adventure he's now having.
