Charles L. Bray, age 81 husband of the late Ruth (Jeffries) Bray, of Spring City, died on Friday evening at his nephew's home in East Vincent, PA.
Charles was born in Philadelphia, PA a son to the late Eugene and Elizabeth Bray. Charles resided most of his life in Spring City. He was a graduate of Norristown High School and was employed for many years as a truck driver for the former Roberts Meat Packing in Kimberton until his retirement. He then was employed for Stauffer Auto Parts. Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Thomas W. O'Connor Post 602 Spring City American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign war Post 6341 -Royersford and was a proud supporter of the wounded warriors, the SPCA. He was a Fire and Brimstone Republican. Charles enjoyed traveling as he and his late wife Ruth Traveled extensively throughout the United States.
He is survived by a sister: Barbara Sheats of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Tuesday evening at 7pm at the Shalkop Grace& Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets Spring City, PA. Visitation will be Tuesday evening at the funeral home from 6:30 to 7pm. Burial will be Private
